Maggie
Office Manager | Insurance Coordinator
Maggie attended the UAB School of Dentistry Dental Assisting program where she graduated in 2017. She became a part of our team in March 2022. Her truly favorite part about working here is the people. The office as a whole is a joyful place to be, and the team here feels like family. Maggie’s responsibilities include scheduling appointments, answering phones, verifying insurance and going over care plans with patients.
Maggie is married to her husband, Benjamin, and has a great Pyrenees named Louie and two cats named Winston and Poppi. Her hobbies include gardening, reading, hosting dinner parties, anything crafty, and home décor/thrifting and antiquing. She and Benjamin like to spend time with their friends and church family.
Stacey
Dental Hygienist
Stacey went to Dental Hygiene school in Michigan, and has been a dental hygienist for over 30 years. She started working at White Oak Family Dentistry in September 2023. She loves how everyone feels like family and strives to hold a good work ethic by working together as a team and helping ease patients’ dental anxiety.
Stacey has been married to her husband, Tom, for 25 years. She has two daughters, Kenzie and Kaylie, who are in nursing school, two doodle dogs named Bailey and Delilah and a grand-dog – a mini dachshund named Louie. Her pastimes include reading, cooking, camping, hiking, traveling and visiting family in Michigan.
Sheila
Lead Dental Assistant
Sheila Wade is the lead dental assistant and joined the practice in June 2025. She completed BCCT (Health Science), is OSHA 10 certified and attended Wallace State in 2013. Sheila enjoys being part of a team-focused environment where people work well together and prioritize compassionate care.
As lead dental assistant, Sheila helps keep the clinical flow running smoothly while supporting the doctors during procedures. She also focuses on helping each patient feel cared for, aiming for a positive and comfortable experience from start to finish.
Sheila is a proud mother of two daughters, whom she describes as her greatest joy. In her free time, she enjoys painting, crafting, interior design, spending time with family and being outdoors, especially near water. She also enjoys training others. Sheila shares that in 2014 she was trained as a dental assistant by Dr. Mechay, prior to her dental school journey, and she feels it is a full-circle blessing to now work alongside her and her husband, Dr. Nate.
Andrea
Dental Assistant
Andrea Sandoval is a dental assistant who joined the practice in May 2025. She graduated from Dental Assistant School of Birmingham and brings a steady, supportive presence to each visit. Andrea values the relationships built in the office and appreciates working alongside a team that focuses on care, learning and a positive atmosphere.
In her day-to-day role, Andrea helps prepare operatories and patients for procedures, supports patient comfort and helps maintain accurate records. She also provides chairside support for both the doctors and patients, helping visits stay organized and calm.
Outside of the office, Andrea enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael. They have been married since 2022 and share their home with an orange cat named Ginger. Andrea also likes singing, karaoke, Legos, arts and crafts and cooking Hispanic cuisine.
